Why Surya Tech Hub exists

By Surya ·

A lot of engineers in India started their careers around the same time. Many of us are now close to ten years in, and we’re all asking the same question: what does it take to move up from here?

After 10+ years in full stack development, and now as an engineering manager, I’ve noticed something. The engineers who grow into senior roles aren’t always the ones who write the most code. They’re the ones who:

  • see where a system will fail before it does
  • make trade-offs deliberately, and can explain why
  • bring stakeholders along instead of just shipping tickets

None of that is taught in a typical tutorial. That’s what I want to change.

What you’ll find here

System design, the practical way. Not just definitions, but how things behave in production: caching, load balancing, queues and databases, and the mistakes that hurt.

AI for engineers. I’m going deeper into AI and LLMs myself, and I’ll share what I learn from a senior engineer’s point of view: what’s useful, what’s hype, and how it changes our work.

Senior skills. The judgment side of engineering: failure points, stakeholders, trade-offs and ownership.

How it works

I share short reels and concept posts on Instagram. Reels are short on purpose. The full explanation of each one lives here as an article, with the details that don’t fit in 60 seconds.

If you’re a mid-level engineer who wants to think like a senior, you’re in the right place. Follow along on Instagram, and let’s grow together.
